Sea Fever
The Lied Duo, consisting of Johannes Stenberg and Mads Jakobsen, proudly presents a concert where songs primarily from Denmark and England frame an artistic journey out to the sea.
Throughout our upbringing, the sea has played a central role in our lives. It is a source of inspiration, fascination, and deep emotions. With this project, we aim to share our experiences and insights with the audience, inviting them into our universe, where the coziness of coastal life meets the wildness of the sea.
Featuring music by Carl Nielsen, P.E. Lange-Müller, Peter Heise, John Ireland, Samuel Barber, and others.

Johannes Stenberg is a pianist, organist, arranger, and composer. He graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Music under Professor Jens Elvekjær and has a particular interest in Lieder and song accompaniment in general.
Johannes is also the organist at Hedehusene Church, where he works daily with vibrant and nuanced song accompaniment – both for communal singing and for solo performances. He has a special focus on English-language poetry and has set music to works such as "The Lake Isle of Innisfree" by W.B. Yeats.
